Grandma Brown's Easy Hamburger Stroganoff

Grandma Brown made this dish about once a week.  90% of the time, she served it over rice.  It was just a super simple, fast and cheap way to feed the whole family, and it tasted great!  You can also saute fresh mushrooms in with the meat and onions, that tastes great too.

Ingredients:
1 lb ground hamburger
½ medium chopped onion
1 (10.5 to 12 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
¼ cup sour cream
1 can full of milk (use empty soup can to measure)
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
1.       In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onions together over medium heat until meat is done and onions are clear, stirring occasionally.

2.      Add cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, milk, and salt and pepper to taste.  Blend well.

3.      Cook on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until mixture reaches the thickness you want.

4.      Serve hot over rice, pasta or mashed potatoes.
